Grade: RCS J ( Car or car allowance of £6000, 26 days holiday and private healthcare)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Location: Milton Keynes ( MK4) Hybrid working - must commit to 2 days minimum a week at office

We're on the lookout for a high-energy, detail-driven Payroll Manager to bring real expertise, passion, and momentum to a fast-paced business supporting over 32,000 employees.

You'll be a key member of our collaborative Payroll team, working closely with our outsourced provider while bringing the deep technical payroll knowledge needed to keep everything running smoothly, accurately, and in full compliance with local legislation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Implement Payroll processes with the objective of accurate and timely employee payments in line with Payroll process guidelines and local legislation requirements.
  • Conduct day to day administration of Payroll activities such as accounting, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, taxes, and Payroll deductions as required to support day to day payroll processes
  • Deploy best practices to calculate various components of salary such as overtime, shift payments, sales commissions and bonuses
  • Analyse extensively for patterns of new errors/ repetitive issues and rectify the same, else escalate complex issues for resolution
  • Identify and resolve recurring errors and issues related to Payroll
  • Define process to maintain various Payroll records as per process guidelines
  • Direct and review data and information required for carrying out Payroll processes
  • Instruct, direct and review reports and stakeholders for internal use/ Government/ Compliance
  • Identify and resolve Payroll related queries from employees
  • Convince other subject matter experts to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
  • Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers
  • Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

CIPP Qualification or equivalent

Deep Payroll Systems knowledge - Excel is critical, SAP a bonus

Project Management/ Change management passion/experience
