This post is a high-profile non-teaching position representinga key link between the students, staff, families and other agencies. Under the direction of the Vice Principal andworking with a head of year, the pastoral manager will have a key role in supportingstudents and helping them overcome barriers to learning both within and outsidethe Academy.
As our Pastoral Manager, you will support thetransition of students from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 3 to 4 aswell as their progression to KS5 post 16 courses or employment and be a keypoint of contact for students and parents, offering frontline pastoral care.

About you
In order to succeed in this role, you will;
- Have extensive experience of working effectively in the supportof young people in a learning environment.
- Have a good understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes and inparticular barriers to learning.
- Have evidence ofimplementing excellent behaviour management strategies leading to thedevelopment of positive attitudes in young people, particularly towardseducation and learning.
- Be able to use ICTand technology effectively.
- Have the ability tocommunicate effectively to different audiences both orally and in writing.
