Partnerships Manager

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Summary
Are you ready to take bold action for a net-zero future? This exciting role puts you at the forefront of Climate Group's newest initiative, the 24/7 Carbon-free Coalition. You'll recruit and engage corporate partners, inspiring them to join a global movement that pushes the boundaries of energy markets to enable 100% carbon-free electricity, 24/7.

You'll build strong, lasting relationships with partners while collaborating across teams to deliver maximum impact. Representing the Coalition on the global stage, this role offers opportunities to drive change where it matters most.

About the role

The initiative

The 24/7 Carbon-free Coalition grew out from Climate Group's RE100 campaign, which brings together over 400 companies committed to 100% renewable electricity based on annual matching. The campaign continues to be highly effective in harnessing corporate demand and driving policy change in key markets worldwide.

We're now excited to launch a next-stage initiative that pushes the frontiers of energy markets with an objective to help corporates move towards sourcing 100% carbon free electricity, 24 hours per day 7 days per week. This requires an evolution toward more granular electricity tracking, new purchasing strategies, investment in various clean electricity technologies, storage, demand flexibility, and supporting policies. Our aim is to build a sufficiently large demand signal to make fully decarbonized electricity a reality.

The role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the recruitment of corporate partners to the 24/7 Carbon-Free Coalition and ensure their engagement delivers value for both them and the Coalition. You'll work with a passionate team of experts and collaborate across our initiatives, working with our communications, corporate partnerships, sponsorship, and events teams.

In time, this role may support wider Climate Group membership campaigns.

Key responsibilities will include:

Corporate recruitment

  • Working closely with the wider 24/7 project team, shape and lead the Coalition's global corporate recruitment strategy.
  • Proactively reach out to potential partners, build relationships, and secure commitments.
  • Manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and impactful start for new partners.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts with other Climate Group initiatives including RE100.

Partner engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, ensuring ongoing value and impact.
  • Lead key events, webinars, and partner meetings that bring the Coalition's mission to life.
  • Foster peer learning and collaboration among partners and the broader energy ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the communications and client experience teams to develop resources, including the 24/7 Coalition Hub.
  • Represent Climate Group and the Coalition at international events, showcasing its bold vision.

About you

We're looking for a proactive, collaborative, and mission-driven individual who thrives on building relationships and driving change.

We value strengths and a passion for learning - if you meet most of the criteria below, we encourage you to apply.

Essential

  • Passion for Climate Group's mission and business action campaigns.

  • Strong organisational skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • A team player who takes initiative and supports colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with renewable electricity markets or other energy-related climate issues.
  • Experience using CRM platforms like Salesforce or Pardot.
  • Proven ability to coordinate stakeholders and manage complex projects
