About the role

Overseeing a brilliant small team, who manage the end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns for our partner hotels. Your role will be about looking forward to the weeks and months ahead, with a broader, holistic view across all hotel campaigns, working closely with the other Partnership Marketing Manager who is responsible for our Tourist Board partners. You will ensure that campaigns are prioritised and managed effectively to get the most commercial gain from overall hotel partnership.

You will have autonomy to define the partner hotels marketing strategy, with a supportive Lead Partnership Manager backing you. You will benefit from the wide variety of hotel partnerships that need promoting, over 150 in a year, plus the professionalism of a premium UK brand.

The role requires close working and management of media agencies and media partners, therefore media planning & buying experience, and understanding of how the media process works, is a must. This role provides a great opportunity for someone to either move client side for a broader role or move into the travel sector at a time where we are heavily investing in our campaigns.

What you will be doing

  • Drive forward our media strategy, pushing both media agencies and media owners to ensure we see optimal media solutions for campaign activations, challenging where appropriate.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery and optimisation of hotel marketing campaigns, ensuring they are fully exploited online and offline, in conjunction with other teams across the business, as well as coaching and leading the team to manage theirs.
  • Oversee the overall delivery of campaigns in terms of timing, budget, quality, and compliance with legislation/internal policies. Being able to react and be flexible to changing external demands.
  • Create marketing plans for hotel partners that effectively deliver relevant marketing activity. This could include defining/delivering, with BA, large scale BA led multi-destination campaigns as well as BAH hotel partner campaigns.
  • Supporting, motivating and empowering the team to deliver.
  • Working hand in hand with counterparts in the Commercial team to ensure our marketing activity is delivering effectively against wider regional commercial targets.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a marketing/comms related role overseeing multiple campaigns.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with media and creative agencies.
  • Proven experience in a media planning and buying role, across all media types.
  • Demonstrable examples of coaching and leading others.
  • Proven experience of activating both online and offline advertising campaigns.
  • Previous experience within a fast-paced commercial business, reacting to change with a flexible and pragmatic approach.
  • Proven ability to create credibility. Relationship management is key to succeed in this role, so you'd need to be comfortable speaking with external partners, with occasional travel to meet them where necessary (this can be overseas).
  • Experience within the travel industry is desirable but not essential for this role
  • Ability to spend regular time working with our BA counterparts at Heathrow, and agency offices in London. Plus ad hoc travel to represent the company at trade functions and meeting with oversea partners.

What we can offer you

Circa £42 - £45k per annum salary (this may vary depending on your relevant skills and experience)

Our offices are based in central Crawley, and we offer hybrid working (within the UK only). Generally, this role works from our offices twice a week, with additional days as needed depending on meetings etc. Office days are co-ordinated so that colleagues in the same team are in the office together to collaborate in person. We usually support new colleagues in the office full time for the first month at least, but really, it's for as long as you need; we will work closely with you to guide and support you in the role.
