You will be a key partner on our flagship “IT Services” account, working as a Finance Professional reporting, forecasting and driving business performance. In this Finance Support role, you will need strong analytical skills together with the ability to communicate across business functions and at senior levels within your delivery area. You will be developing your Business Partnering skills across commercial, sales, operations and delivery teams, displaying the confidence and gravitas to support and challenge at all levels throughout the organisation. This role benefits from hybrid working. You will be required to come into our office based in Telford on average 2-3 days per week. This could fluctuate as it depends on business needs.  

Your role

•    You will assist the Finance Business Partner with the monthly reporting cycles, including monthly actuals, rolling forecast and budget setting/performance.
•    Interpret financial variances from a commercial and delivery perspective, then make recommendations to drive performance.
•    Understand complex and evolving client contracts and their financial and commercial implications, including revenue and cost recognition principles.
•    Production of ad-hoc reports and analysis to support and assist in decision making.
•    Pro-actively get involved in improving reporting and processes across Finance.

Your skills and experience

•    You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)  
•    Strong balance sheet control
•    Ability to work under pressure autonomously whilst adhering to strict deadliness.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and explain financial information.
•    High attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong technical skills including Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
•    Experience of working in an environment of continuous process improvement.
•    Experience of working closely with the business and operations in a developing business partnering capacity. 

Your security clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. 
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
