Position: Parcel Commercial & Indirect Cost Controlling Manager
Contract Type: Permanent / full-time
Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry (hybrid working available - minimum 3 days office based)

About the role:
To work as a member of the UK controlling team, supporting the UK Exec Board. To provide financial control and expertise ensuring results are accurately recorded, reported and analysed. Look for opportunities in the data to improve the results. Support Board Directors initiatives from a financial and commercial perspective. Forecast, plan and budget the future.
- Commercial controlling should focus on revenue/volume/yield controlling, customer profitability, product profitability and tender reviews
- Provide financial support to the Board Directors for the Indirect Functions (Sales, Customer Services, HR, IT etc)
- Manage monthly review of costs, forecasts and initiatives with functional board members or their delegates
- Work closely and collaboratively with the CCO and Commercial teams, to support, challenge and report.
- Present Finance updates at regional sales meetings and other functions where required.
- Support Indirect Functions to complete business cases and provide value added commercial analysis
- Assist with additional projects dictated by departmental goals/priorities
- Month End. Ensure all deadlines are met and month end actuals are accurate. This is achieved by managing the various finance sub-functions which contribute data.
- Analyse €500M annual revenue (expected to grow by 15% in next 5 years) Understand the drivers down to customer level, trade lanes, discounting, etc
- Report performance against KPIs and target, understand the drivers of change.
- Analysis of €60M Indirect Functional Costs, understanding drivers including FTE movements
- Forecast the future month, rest of year and next year's revenue and Indirect Costs. Develop models to improve the accuracy of forecasts.
- Financial Accounting. Be responsible for compliant financial accounting advice and decisions under IFRS.
- Responsible for external submissions to regulatory bodies
The ideal candidate will have:
- More than 5 years experience in a similar position
- Qualified finance professional
