The school is seeking to appoint an Oxbridge Mentor to work with those students wishing to apply to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
The role involves supporting individual and small groups of Year 12 and 13 students to help them achieve success by providing guidance on the personal statements to support UCAS applications to Oxbridge and offering face to face feedback interviews once these drafts have been received; conducting mock interviews and practice papers.
At the end of each cycle, the Mentors will provide a short report detailing their input and the impact this has had on Oxbridge applications.
The work will be spread out over the Oxbridge application cycle (March to October) with occasional days in school being required before the summer holidays, and the majority of the contact time taking place in two weeks in September.
This is a Paid on Claim position offering £11.78 per hour with working hours to be agreed in advance.
