Organisational Resilience Manager

Role Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Resilience Manager to champion resilience initiatives across One Advanced, ensuring alignment with ISO 22301 and ISO 22361 while embedding a resilience culture throughout the organisation. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on resilience, you will formalise a uniform approach to business continuity, collaborate with the sales team to ensure SLAs meet customer expectations, and work with service teams to define and test Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual with a strong background in resilience, risk management, and continuity planning.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities
Resilience Culture and Strategy:
- Drive the development and embedding of a resilience culture across the organisation, ensuring awareness and integration at all levels.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive resilience framework aligned with ISO 22301 and ISO 22361 standards.
- Provide guidance and training to teams on resilience principles and best practices.
Subject Matter Expertise (SME):
- Act as the organisation's SME on resilience, advising on strategies to enhance business continuity, risk management, and crisis preparedness.
- Monitor emerging trends, risks, and industry developments to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of resilience practices.
Continuity Planning and Uniform Approach:
- Formalise and maintain a uniform approach to business continuity planning across all departments and services.
- Ensure continuity plans are robust, up-to-date, and tested regularly in line with identified risk priorities.
Collaboration with Sales Team:
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and agree on system Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that meet customer expectations and contractual obligations.
- Ensure SLAs are aligned with resilience and continuity objectives.
Collaboration with Service Team:
- Partner with the service delivery teams to define and document RTOs and RPOs for critical systems and services.
- Oversee regular testing of continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring results are documented and lessons learned are integrated into future plans.
Risk and Incident Management:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritise continuity and recovery activities.
- Coordinate post-incident reviews to assess the effectiveness of resilience plans and recommend improvements.
Reporting and Governance:
- Develop and present resilience performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting risks, progress, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all resilience activities comply with regulatory requirements and customer expectations
What You Will Have
Skills and Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
- Formal qualification in Resilience / continuity is prefered.
- Professional certifications such as MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent are desirable.
Experience:
- Proven experience in resilience / business continuity, with a strong understanding of ISO 22301 and ISO 22361.
- Experience collaborating with sales and service teams to align resilience objectives with customer expectations.
- Track record of successfully implementing and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans within a SaaS business.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in developing and managing continuity plans and frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks, prioritise activities, and evaluate test outcomes.
- Familiarity with SLA, RTO, and RPO concepts and their practical application in service delivery.
