Person specification
Education/ qualifications
Essential criteria
- Be a member of a recognised professional body and hold a current professional registration
- Educated to Masters Level or Post Graduate advanced clinical/professional qualification or be able to fully demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience
- An accredited leadership qualification or be able to demonstrate advanced leadership and management skills; motivation, team building, developing positive interpersonal relationships, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving, managing change, being creative
- First level degree or equivalent clinical experience supplemented by post graduate specialist training to master level
Desirable criteria
- Member of specialist interest group/network, locally or nationally
- Advanced/expert understanding of relevant clinical practice, standards and audits within identified clinical area.
- Detailed understanding of all current Mental Health legislation
- Evidence of undertaking research
- Working knowledge of required IT systems
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of sound post -registration professional practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area to advanced level of post - graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge /experiential learning
- Evidence of advanced practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
- Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within primary care and interaction with military charities
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the NHS and the healthcare system and current policy drivers within the UK - for the Armed Forces community and general public
- Knowledge or experience of the military environment
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
