The role:

Network & Infrastructure Project Manager

Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager, the Network and Infrastructure Project Manager take's full accountability for the successful delivery of all Network and Infrastructure technology project deliverables within technology projects to pre-agreed time, cost and quality criteria

They are accountable for the successful mobilisation, delivery and handover of all Network, Cloud and Infrastructure solutions using both waterfall and agile methodologies. This includes managing both internal and external resources, managing all IT spend within the project and ensuring the solution supports the business in realising the associated benefits of the project.

People/Relationship

  • Build, develop and maintain sustainable and respectful stakeholder relationships.
  • Inspire outcome-based decision making.
  • Lead performance reviews with key stakeholder groups

Governance

  • Member/Invitee of the following boards/meetings:
    • Project Delivery Board
    • Steer Co's
    • Triage Meetings
    • Financial Approval Boards
    • Portfolio Review Board
  • Ensure full adherence to all governance, standards, and processes across the IAG Cargo organisation.
  • Conduct internal functional technology satisfaction surveys and drive continual improvement across the team.
  • Proactively contribute to continual improvement across IAG Cargo, specifically in relation to the Operating Model and ways of working

What you'll do:

  • Act as the single point of contact for all technology resources and deliverables with the wider project team.
  • Accountable for the successfully delivery of all Network and Infrastructure project deliverables from design through develop, test, deployment, and handover to support.
  • Ensures project delivery is executed in accordance with standards including using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of the project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Create and manage the project finances relating to all IT spend including creating the forecast, approving spend against the budget, and tracking actuals to ensure the project is delivered to agreed budget.
  • Ensure the successful launch of projects through the start-up and initiation phases.
  • Ensures project scope is agreed and meets business requirements and ensures.
  • Ensure the quality of all network and infrastructure solutions through robust testing and managing the resolution of defects during the project lifecycle.
  • Accountable for the successful deployment of all network and infrastructure changes into the live environment, managing any post go live issues.
  • Accountable for the successful transition of the project into support, ensuring all service acceptance criteria has been met.
  • Coordinate IT internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
  • Manage third party statements of work and associated finances to ensure seamless delivery of third-party deliverables.
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  • Present timely and accurate project progress and results to both business and wider portfolio stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks and avoid impacts to time, cost and quality metrics.
  • Manage changes to the scope, timescales, and costs using change management standards.

What you'll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Ability to execute projects in multiple different methodologies including Agile and Waterfall and operating in a product orientated organisation.
  • Collaborative, open working, resulting in recognition as a valued partner by colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Ability to assign and track tasks to teams, and individuals, to achieve sign off for all solution deliverables to defined quality metrics.
  • Strong financial management.
  • Ability to prioritise across multiple teams, based on project requirements.
  • Demonstrates and applies a deep understanding of third-party supplier management principles.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Strong risk management skills.
  • Displays confidence and resilience, plus an energy to deliver results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex IT/technology solutions in a coherent manner.
  • Workshop leadership and facilitation.
  • Ability to prioritise, based on limited or ambiguous information.

Your experience:

Desirable Experience:

  • Proven and demonstrable track record of successfully managing and leading network, Cloud and IT infrastructure service projects in a large multinational environment
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience of using project, programme and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Portfolio for Jira, SAP PPM, MS PPM, HP PPM, Primavera).
  • Proven track record of using project and portfolio management and/or Agile methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, PMP).
  • Demonstrable experience of managing risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies of projects in a portfolio environment

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience working in the Logistics, Freight, Courier industry.
  • Experience of major technology and business change programs
