YOUR ROLE

Our Daventry based operation is looking for an Operations Support Manager to join the team. In this role, you will drive operational performance through data-led planning, reporting and forecasting, acting as a strategic link between Operations, Finance, Planning and Compliance to translate KPIs, forecasts and cost data into clear, actionable plans that improve efficiency and productivity.

This is a Monday to Friday role.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Lead labour, MHE, space and capacity planning in line with forecasted volumes and contractual requirements
  • Deliver accurate KPI dashboards and trend analysis, identifying gaps and driving corrective action
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce cost and enhance quality, ensuring compliance and audit readiness
  • Lead and implement projects to support and influence the development of site
  • Act as a key link between Operations, Finance, IT, Compliance and Client teams to maintain alignment and service continuity
  • Oversee agency relationships, headcount planning, performance reviews and reporting to support operational delivery
  • Provide data-driven insight to support leadership decision-making and ensure adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support the development of site support colleagues and prepare to take on formal team management responsibilities as the role grows.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have strong operational planning and forecasting capability, with experience in high-volume logistics or 3PL operations. You will be confident working with WMS, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel for data analysis, KPI production, and performance reporting. You will have a proactive, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills, and commercial awareness to deliver operational excellence.

Project management experience or qualifications and Lean/CI knowledge (Green Belt or equivalent) are desirable, as is experience in e-commerce or other high-volume environments. You will be pragmatic, resilient, delivery-driven, and committed to continuous improvement along with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
