The Role

K2 Corporate Mobility offers its clients a cutting-edge cloud platform that delivers proven solutions focused on the optimisation of recurring relocation related expenses.

The role of Operations Manager, Relocation Accounting, plays a key role in the Professional Services team by ensuring the highest quality of work is being delivered on time and to client expectations. The role is to offer support to the Director, Relocation Accounting by assisting with the execution and delivery of the global RA (Relocation Accounting) service. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the continued growth and development of our unique and innovative products and services within this exciting area of business and the industry as a whole.

Candidates are not expected immediately to be masters of the full spectrum of technologies used but are expected to have strong technical knowledge and financial experience required to launch solutions for our clients, building their knowledge of K2's technology platforms and the recurring expense domain over time.

Hours of work

8:30am - 5:30ppm

40 Hours per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

In a managerial capacity:

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and procedures across operational relocation accounting functions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of relocation accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Communicates deadlines to team members
  • Conducts team meetings and one to ones to update on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines to the team
  • Conducts appraisals in-line with policy and deadlines
  • Deputising for the Director, Relocation Accounting in their absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Financial and Transactional:

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring that financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the Operations Leads in generating and presenting comprehensive management reports on key performance indicators, project statuses, and operational metrics to senior leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, external audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial operations through technology and best
    practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Business Partnering:

  • Develop monthly management reports for use by various stakeholders in the business.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and reporting.
  • Assisting with client onboarding and implementation of new processes and policies
  • Collaborating with Change Management Lead for successful delivery of new processes and procedures within the department
  • Group projects such as alignment of financial practices and policies, development and implementation of various technologies, global operations processes, software integration, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Implement and maintain robust processes to ensure systems are
    consistently reconciled and up-to-date.
  • Ensure processes, systems, and controls are fit for purpose.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure financial risks are managed effectively and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience: Skills /Abilities & Knowledge

  • Proven ability to manage and complete complex tasks to a high level of accuracy and under pressure.
  • Experience of Relocation Accounting/Expense Management service delivery is preferable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Accurate administration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter who possesses an inquisitive mindset, is solution orientated and has the ability to think outside the box.

  • Possess strong and proven leadership and management skills.

  • Experience of multi-currency and cross border payments.
  • Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to present internally and externally to key stakeholders (Executive Team & Clients).
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours as and when required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
  • Commercial acumen and desire to support business growth and change management
  • Ability to interpret various types of data and present in formats relevant to the audience(s)
  • Building and developing robust working relations with all K2 colleagues

Accountability: for GDPR & ISO

As part of the role, the job holder will be responsible for the processing of information, which may be special category data by nature. The job holder is obliged to follow the company Data Protection, Information Security Polices.

Full compliance and understanding whilst demonstrating full principles of all accredited ISO regulations.

Training and Education

Finance/Accounting qualified/part qualified/Team Management experience.

  • Advanced financial reconciliation and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in business unit reporting and KPI analysis
  • Strong project management skills for effective onboarding processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software systems
  • Effective cash flow management abilities
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
