To lead the Projects Operational team within the Private Networks business. Fully accountable for H&S, Project Delivery, Customer Satisfaction and the Project Business P&L. To operate as a member of the Private Networks senior leadership team, building strong working relationships with your peers and driving positive change across the business. To work closely with the Engineering Manager (Projects) to ensure sufficient available and suitably skilled resource whilst maximising utilisation and work closely with the Sales Leaders to support key account planning, broadening and deepening customer relationships and ensuring high quality delivery.
Your New Role
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure the Project Team operates at the highest standards of Health & Safety.
- Drive Project Business growth and profitability - convert orders into revenue to meet financial targets maximising variations and profitability.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent project delivery throughout the contractual chain.
- Ensure compliance with Ipsum processes and driving of continuous improvement.
- Manage resources effectively to maximise utilisation.
- Ensure lessons learnt & best practices are embedded in project delivery process and culture. This is key to raise competitiveness and profitability.
- Take ownership of working capital management and cash collection to ensure strong cashflow.
- Lead, Develop and Motivate the Projects Team to ensure talent retention, personal development and high level of engagement.
- Be recognised as an active ambassador of Ipsum.
About You
Required Qualifications & Professional Membership(s):
- Relevant Engineering Qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent)
- Recognised Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent)
Knowledge & Experience:
- Direct leadership experience in an project management/operational environment
- Knowledge and experience of driving H&S culture, compliance and safe systems of work.
- Knowledge and experience of financial forecasting and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience of running a P&L
- Experience of leading, managing and developing a team of people.
- Experience working in a fast paced customer facing environment
