Newstaff Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager (Lighting/Creative Industry) on behalf of our client based in St Albans.

Operations Manager (Lighting/Creative Industry) in St Albans

Location: St Albans, AL1

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (including weekend and evening work as required)

Salary: £45,000 annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan rental and stock availability, purchase goods, and accurately manage rental stock across multiple sites.
• Coordinate site delivery and collections effectively.
• Use inventory management software to plan and arrange goods out and in, ensuring workload is managed and deadlines are met (training provided).
• Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager and relevant staff to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Ensure the rental software system is up to date with current stock levels and movements.
• Oversee and audit stock management.
• Understand and maintain industry standards for the preparation, testing, and packaging of rental equipment.
• Purchase goods as needed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, able to adapt to changing project requirements with flexibility and maturity.
• Motivated and able to use initiative under pressure.
• Computer literate with a basic understanding of spreadsheet software such as Excel.
• Structured approach to tasks with good housekeeping practices.
• Consistently high-quality work that maintains our reputation for reliability and quality service.
• Ability to instruct and liaise confidently and competently with the Warehouse Manager.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a similar role or the entertainment industry is advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment for the entertainment industry and computerised inventory management systems (training provided).
