Operations Manager - Labelexpo Global Series

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and deliver event operations for 2 small/medium events per year
  • Oversight of the entire life cycle of an event, and enough foresight to anticipate problems
  • Project Management and reporting; ability to oversee/manage multiple products.
  • Budget Management in multiple currencies
  • Organisation and production of Label Awards evening
  • Organisation and production of social events concerning the shows/summits
  • Floor plan management and reconciliation with exhibitor lists for all events
  • Management of operations exhibitor lists for all shows
  • Exhibitor manual creation and management
  • Managing exhibitor hospitality packages
  • Management of show team travel and accommodation for all events
  • Assisting SOM/OD on features and special projects
  • Work with the Support Manager to write ops-related comms to exhibitors
  • Conference & Meeting room management for all events
  • Assistance with events in the wider UK Industrial Group (travel might be necessary)
  • Liaise with the project team including sales, marketing, production, and finance.
  • Demonstrate clear and effective communication of briefs (H&S, Sustainability, Graphics projects, etc.), software training (floorplans) and processes to the broader team and junior staff.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and be respectful of other cultures.
  • Manage the implementation of graphics for events and fulfilment of all sponsorship components.
  • Ensure the compliance of H&S for each event.
  • Post-show evaluation and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience within an Exhibition Industry Operations Role (previous Senior Ops Exec or Ops Manager Experience required)
  • Team Player and Flexibility a must
  • Impeccable English (additional languages a strong advantage)
  • Self -Motivated and able to work on their own initiative
  • Experience working with external suppliers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Project and Time Management Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deal with confrontation
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required
