Operations Manager - Hospitality

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to join our Hospitality Services team at our Flagship campus.

Work Friendly Hours: working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with occasional evening and weekend events.
This post is on a 9 month fixed term contract.
This role will involve management of our Adrian Gordon Cafe, our onsite restaurant, and as such you'll need fine dining experience, and be able to create innovative menus and concepts.
You'll also oversee our catering operations at our campus kitchen, catering for our Sandringham based Care Home & Retirement Living complex. You'll work closely with our Head Chef to ensure all a seamless link between front of house and the central kitchen, as well as provide inspiration and ideas to enhance our residents dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Assess and redesign operations, implement a turnaround plan, and set measurable performance targets.
- Operational Excellence: Lead staff development, manage procurement, and collaborate on tailored, cost effective menus.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and the community, using feedback to enhance services.
- Financial Management: Optimise budgets, drive café profitability, and ensure cost efficient operations without compromising quality.
- Compliance and Standards: Maintain adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, conducting audits and addressing gaps.
- Change Management: Lead cultural and operational change, ensuring buy in from staff and stakeholders, and monitor progress.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally within health and social care.
- Demonstrated success in turnaround roles with measurable improvements.
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards (health, safety, and food hygiene).
- Financial acumen with budget management and cost efficiency expertise.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of Kosher/Kashrut laws.
- Familiarity with CQC and IDDSI frameworks.
- Experience with menu management and EPOS systems.
