Operations Manager - Andover
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + profit share scheme + 25 days holiday

We are working with a market-leading business in the sustainable equipment hire sector to recruit a hands-on Operations Manager for their site in Andover. Their innovative solutions support major projects across construction, energy and environmental industries, and the company continues to grow at pace.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational excellence across the yard, workshop and fabrication teams. The successful candidate will take a proactive, hands-on approach, ensuring staff engagement, accountability, and the delivery of continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the yard, workshop and fabrication teams, ensuring accountability and high levels of engagement
- Oversee the smooth handover from sales to operations, ensuring every hire contract is delivered in full
- Manage the maintenance, quality, and turnaround of the rental fleet, working closely with logistics and external storage partners
- Take ownership of stock control, parts, and fittings to keep the fleet fully operational
- Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Contribute to wider strategic growth milestones in collaboration with senior leadership
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver results
Requirements
- Strong leadership with a hands-on approach and the ability to hold teams accountable
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with experience leading teams in industrial or B2B environments
- Background in heavy industry, project delivery, or manufacturing operations
- Proven track record in process improvement and KPI implementation
- Adaptable and able to work well under pressure with strong attention to detail
- Commercially astute with good business management skills
