Operations Manager for Care & Wellbeing Service (Liverpool)

  • Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: Liverpool Office (Unit 1D, Wavertree Technology Park, Liverpool, L7 9PF)

Job Description

You will motivate, inspire and organise your team to deliver high quality care. You do not need a background in care, but we do require someone with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to getting into the detail and providing leadership and direction. You will support team and Care Workers to Be the Best they Can Be. You will achieve and maintain service standards and performance targets.

We are seeking an inspiring leader with exceptional communication and demonstrable managerial experience and behaviours including:

  • Values-driven leadership that enables people and teams to perform to high standards.
  • Managing services, planning effectively with strong organisation skills, resourcing, and contingency planning. You will have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate, implement robust solutions and continuously improve.
  • Collaboration and a desire to work in partnership with colleagues and externally with commissioners, health and social care teams and local community groups.

Leading People and Teams

  • Engage, inspire, and motivate the team around you.
  • Ensure colleagues are supported and trained to support the service in delivering high quality care and quality assurance activities.
  • Implement all HR support, guidance, and procedures for the benefit of colleagues taking a positive approach to engagement, using lessons learned and offering additional training and support.
  • Be open, honest, and transparent. Seek advice and guidance from the central support team and senior management team.

Managing Services

  • Manage the growth and success of the service including implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Plan, schedule, and review workload and capacity to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis. Responsible for efficient and effective scheduling and resource management
  • Actively drive the quality assurance activities undertaken in the service. Achieve and maintain compliance targets. Identify potential risks early, be proactive to prevent concerns, complaints, and safeguarding issues. Be responsive to issues as they arise.
  • Implement Be Caring policies and procedures and comply with all relevant legislation from bodies including CQC, Health & Safety Executive, Skills for Care, the Local Authority, NICE and others as appropriate.
  • Work with your team and others to achieve readiness for CQC inspections and other internal and external 'inspections'.

Collaborate and Communicate

  • Manage and develop the relationship with our commissioners to ensure Be Caring are at the forefront of all future opportunities.
  • Communicate with care teams in an effective, timely and engaging manner. Work with care teams to identify and implement solutions, resolving issues early and responding quickly.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with the people we support, their families, colleagues, and external partners/services.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload

Additional Information

  • You will be required to register as the manager with CQC. Full support will be given to achieve this within 6 months.
