We now have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to join our Aparthotel Birmingham site.

As a Operations Manager you will be required to master the art of versatility and inject some energy whilst completing a variety of duties.

You will be responsible for managing the reception team day to day and the wider hotel operations, ensuring efficiency, cost control, stock takes, stock ordering, waste management and outstanding service delivery. You will play a key role in managing resources, improving operational performance, and developing a high-performing team.

The main duties expected within the role are:

  • To have exceptional knowledge of OPERA cloud and reception check in & out processes
  • Oversee and complete departmental rota's ensuring operations are covered efficiently
  • Oversee daily financial reports and ensure financials are balanced day to day
  • Complete month end tasks and reports
  • To deputise for the General Manager in their absence.
  • To assist the General Manager in maintaining the Aparthotel standards and all relative hotel compliance
  • To ensure the hotel meets its monthly sales and profit targets in cooperation with the General Manager.
  • To produce weekly and monthly hotel business forecasts in the absence of the General Manager or as instructed.
  • Prepare annual budget plans and interim forecasts as required.
  • Maintain an effective control of revenue and expenditure to achieve optimum financial efficiency.
  • To monitor cash handling and credit control and ensure the team strictly adhere to procedures
  • Ensure manning levels are kept within the budget
  • Ensure all team members receive mandatory and statutory training
  • Ensure all company HR policies and procedures are followed
  • Attend and complete all required mandatory Training
  • Attend all company conferences as required
