We have opportunity for 2 x Operations Manager Positions:
1 x 37 hours Operations Manager - Parking Enforcement
0.4 x 14.8 hours Operations Manager - Performance & Quality Assurance

We need enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can drive the change the service needs, while ensuring day to day delivery is kept to the highest standard.
Applicants will have a proven track record of using data systems to analyse and improve performance as well as experience in developing effective quality assurance plans. Parking Enforcement is one of the largest frontline team within the service that operates 7 days a week including evenings the applicant will have experience in managing people and developing frontline teams.
The management team works closely with and supports Elected Members, city partners and is often tasked with delivering key political priorities. The management team works with a wide range of stakeholders, building strong relationships with colleagues across the Council and organisations and individuals external to the Council.
Experience of working in a parking related job is not essential in applying for the Operations Manager, Performance & Quality Assurance post if relevant transferable skills and experiences are demonstrated.
Operations Managers are responsible for managing different functions within parking services. Reporting to the Parking Services Manager the successful applicant will work closely with their fellow Operations Managers to improve and evolve the whole service.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a service into being one of the best performing parking operations in England. Sheffield City Council's Parking Services is one of the largest local authority operators in England. The service has a turnover of £8 million per year and manages over 11,000 bays across the city. 15,000 parking permits are processed each year. Almost 100,000 Parking and Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notices were issued last year. The service has gone through significant modernisation and change. Recent service improvements have included the introduction of paperless parking permits, introduction of a customer portal to support motorists appealing fines and using the Chatbot, implementation of a new web reporting platform for residents and businesses to report parking issues, the introduction of a new pay by phone cashless parking payment provider and the introduction of the Clean Air Zone scheme.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
