About the role:

We're excited to be recruiting for a guest orientated Operations Manager to join our team. We offer 143 bedrooms, The Retreat Spa, 6 meeting spaces with capacity for 300, 4 bars, our restaurant '1744' and our stunning grounds, all providing the perfect location for weddings, meetings and events, spa users and hotel guests.

Guest centric as well as inspiring and engaging for our team, you will continually monitor the guest experience, working alongside the team to support, train and coach in the moment. Always striving for best in class, you will observe, listen and fine tune so our guests are wowed and keep coming back.

About you:

From a resort or large/ full-service hotel, you are aninspiring leader with a burning passion for hospitality, you have a proven pedigree as a leader of service and will be excited to work with our General Manager/ wider team to take the hotel to the next level. You are:

  • Guest orientated and never happy with second best.
  • Innovative, creative and excited by change.
  • A sociable character who the team will follow, yet also analytical, monitoring the guest experience and able to recommend changes.
  • Effective in time management, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • An empathetic individual who builds the best relationships with the team and our guests.
  • Resilient and with the ability to keep calm and bounce back when things don't go to plan.
  • The heartbeat of our service, who our guests and the local market know... and our team want to follow!
