A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and engaging Operations Manager, to join our expanding Team covering Buckinghamshire / Northamptonshire area . Danny Sullivan Group is the leading supplier of skilled, professional labour in the UK, and has been serving the civil engineering, rail, transportation, and construction industries since 1986.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the client interface for DSG from prestart stage and throughout the project duration
  • Manage your own sites independently with minimal management support
  • Take responsibility for all internal DSG Labour Managers
  • Basic Business Development activity such as networking and lead passing
  • Involvement in annual budget planning

Duties and Responsibilities detailed below:

  • Site engagement with supervisors, foremen, works managers upwards
  • Site engagement with workers
  • Be the link between the recruitment team and the client for resourcing needs
  • Resource and recruit alongside the recruitment team to ensure client needs are met
  • Ensuring day to day queries are answered and problems are solved from the client and workers
  • Ensuring new starters have their relevant site inductions and training organised through the relevant DSG support teams
  • Ensuring new starter emails are sent to the onboarding team
  • Ensuring new starters have the legal and contractual compliant PPE to be on site
  • Ensuring site stores are stocking with DSG PPE
  • All finishers and site movers are communicated to the Regional Support Partner
  • Coordination and management of site training matrixes as requested by the client
  • Reviewing and communicating weekly holiday to site
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client.
  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training, and career progression
  • Deliver toolbox and health and safety talks to site where required
  • Gathering pipeline of recruitment needs for forward planning purposes
  • Maintain a strong company image at all time

Skills

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Knowledge of the Civil Engineering and Construction industry
  • Strong administration
  • Effective communicator (Written and Verbal)
  • Intermediate MS office skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organisation and Time Management
  • Ability to act on initiative and work proactively
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within the business
  • Discreet and trustworthy being able to deal sensitively and privately with confidential information

Output / Reporting Required

  • Project-related documentation (internally and externally)
  • Site engagement Reports
  • Weekly Diary Report
  • Leavers report
  • Vehicle allocation report
  • Project Budget reporting
  • Business development reporting
  • Working closely with the labour manager and recruitment department to ensure all Labour requisitions are closed out in timely manner
  • Working closely with the Head of operations
  • Cross departmental collaboration to improve business communication and performance

Key Communication

  • Communicate with all of the operations team and workers
  • Meetings include weekly huddles, client specific huddles, client labour meetings, site engagement meetings, meetings with workers, H&S and toolbox talks, client pre-start meetings and internal budget meetings.
