What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- You'll set clear targets through effective communication and manage delivery against the site operational plans, engaging with stakeholders across the business to influence working methods, processes, and mechanisms
- Lead, coach, drive and develop your Teams to ensure continued improvement and efficiency to deliver our customer promise, focusing on team building and morale to create high performing teams across a 24/7 operation
- Meet site operational targets, maximising the performance of shifts and departments whilst driving the highest quality standards
- Ensure Health & Safety processes and procedures remain at the forefront of running a safe operation
- Take ownership and accountability for continuous improvement (CI), sponsoring CI initiatives to deliver safety, quality and operational benefits
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- A dynamic People Leader and an exceptional communicator who can inspire teams. Someone who can recognise and develop their people to realise and release their potential
- A leader who has a real passion for customer service and who puts the customer at the front of their decision-making
- You will be comfortable in analysing and challenging ways of working, using methodical and data-driven decisions and be confident communicating with both technical and business partners at a senior level.
- Passionate about delivering results - You'll thrive on delivering the outstanding results M&S customers expect every time. A flexible people leader who is self-driven to identify improvement opportunities, you will go 'where the work is' and embrace change
- In addition to proven logistics leadership experience within a similar role ideally gained in a fast-moving automated 24/7 environment, you will also have experience in challenging underperformance and holding your Teams to account, so they deliver across safety, quality, people, customer and performance metrics
