Pay Rate: £49,000.00 - £52,000.00
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 - flexible office hours
Location: Skelmersdale - WN8 8DY

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • To strategically manage all warehouse, distribution and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration
  • To manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business
  • To continuously review and evaluate warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level
  • To take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve operational standards and customer SLA's

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous and practical experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager within a busy logistics environment
  • Must have experience within the Ecommerce sector
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience of regular customer communication
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organise and train direct reports
  • Ideally you will have experience of start ups and change management/change processes
  • Budget management experience is essential
