Whatever the challenge, Parcelforce delivers. Together, we're moving packages around the world, keeping promises and people connected.

We're on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to head up a team of 5 managers at our London Central Depot. It's a pretty big role: with an average of 80 delivery and collection routes running daily, you'll be critical to securing the success of one of our larger operations.

About the role

Normal working hours are 07:00 to 15:00 but some flexibility is required due to operational needs

As our Operations Manager, the most senior manager role within the depot, you'll oversee the collection and delivery of 4 million parcels a year, but that's not all. It'll be up to you to ensure everything runs smoothly - leading on and coordinating manpower and resource you'll review all key measurement outputs and identify trends in unit performance, ensuring your teams are focused on process and customer improvement at all times. By providing your frontlline managers with the coaching and mentoring they need to inspire their teams, you'll not only maximise operational performance; you'll ensure we never stop delivering to the highest levels of customer service.

About you

A natural leader and experienced manager, you'll enjoy nothing more than guiding teams through significant periods of change. You'll understand how important it is to build strong relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders - and, you'll show a genuine passion for what you do. Positive, proactive and personable, you won't just ensure strong operational performance; you'll never let us compromise on service. Ideally with a background in express parcels and some experience working in a unionised environment, you'll already have your CPC qualification or be working towards one.
