Job Description

As a Team Operations Manager, you are responsible for working very closely with the Team Leader (Cost Centre Lead - CCL) in managing the operational activity for the Team. This workload will revolve around the two key topics of People and Finance. From a People perspective, the role requires the organisation and management of people related matters and acting as the key conduit between the requirements of the central HR function, the London CM HR Director and the Team itself.

From a Finance perspective, the role requires managing Team financial performance in Dynamics D365 software and liaising with the Directors in the Team along with the Business Unit Finance Director. In addition to the key areas of People and Finance, the third strand is likely to revolve around the organisation of Team events and social activity.

The Operations Manager is a hands-on role and the individual must be very well organised and possess a sharp eye for detail with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills. A high standard of verbal and written communication skills are important, as are interpersonal skills in working with others. Knowledge of SOX compliance/experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge and complete requests from HR through liaison with Team Leader

• Assist in organization of recruitment requirements and activity

• Assist in organization of learning and development requirements

• Anticipate the monthly activity in relation to People matters and work with the Team Leader to ensure responses and requirements are completed in a calm and timely manner

• Organise and take charge of Team events as appropriate

• Liaise with business development manager and ensure opportunities are tracked and maintained within Dynamics D365

• Liaise with multiple commission managers and multiple stakeholders to track and manage opportunities to calculate and forecast realistic cost revenue and ensure that it is managed in real time

• Administration of projects through D365 gateways from inception through to completion, including raising of quotations, job numbers, purchase orders and monthly invoicing

• Administration of monthly invoicing to conform with SOX and T&T governance

• Track and manage secured and unsecured opportunities to calculate forecast cost and revenue including long term pipeline

• Monthly reviews with Cost Centre Directors and central finance teams

• Work with commission directors to complete WIP reviews of live projects

• Assist in development of dashboard reports

• Reporting of system related issues to central IT and finance

• Experience of looking after a range of projects from 50-100

Qualifications

Measure of Success - the Team 'runs on rails' from an operational perspective, staying ahead of the curve in relation to requests from HR and Finance, and the Team Leader is facing externally more than internally

Experience

Suitable candidates will have some experience of working for a SOX compliant organization delivering the responsibilities outlined above

Technical Requirements

Competency using Microsoft Dynamics D365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint with strong communication skills

Educational and Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Studies/Accounting would be an advantage
