The Operations Manager role for High Weald, Lewes and Havens Neighbourhood Support Team is a critical management role responsible for the delivery of an Adult Social Care Team that comprises of Social Workers and Resource Officers who assess, review, apply eligibility criteria and devise care and support plans for clients in the area. The client group typically comprises of Older People, Adults with Physical disabilities and Autistic Adults.

As the Operations Manager you will ultimately be responsible for the practice in the team, ensuring that key legislation has been considered and applied as part of social care practice and intervention.

You will have sound working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act and Equality Act. You will have experience of attending or supporting practitioners to attend court hearings and be well versed in managing complex situations of risks.

If successful you will be managing an established and supportive Neighbourhood Support Team and will be part of the Management Team for Neighbourhood Support Teams, Occupational Therapy and our Access Service. You will be expected to chair weekly Safeguarding, Self Neglect and Resource Allocation Meetings, and will respond to complaints made to the team.

You will have a track record of delivering results and driving up standards whilst at the same time maximising performance and throughput to deliver on Key Performance Indicators.

You will be experienced in the management of HR matters and have sound knowledge of performance and capability, disciplinary and grievance matters. In your role you would be expected to lead on such matters and also support and coach junior managers through HR processes.

Finally, we are passionately committed to the development of Integrated Community Teams and as such any experience of working in an integrated way with services from the NHS and Voluntary Community Sector would be beneficial.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
