Purpose of the Job

As a Health Physics Board member your role will be to have input to Board decisions, contribute to business strategy, win new work and manage all aspects of the technical services business line within HP, which includes a radiation protection consultancy, software solutions capability and the operation of a calibration facility and dosimetry service. The role provides an excellent opportunity for development into both personnel and business management at a senior level within NUVIA.

Reports to
• Reports to the Health Physics Managing Director of Services for delivery against the business plan
• Line management responsibility for around 30 staff within the technical services part of NUVIAs Health Physics business

Key Accountabilities

• Board level engagement on business planning and strategy setting
• Ensure services are delivered to time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Ensure services are delivered to customer satisfaction.
• Ensure services are delivered in compliance to company systems and best practice.
• Carry out project review and reporting.
• Ensure duty of care for all staff
• Resource and Line Management
• Support Tendering in winning new business
• Business Communications

Delivery of Health Physics business plan, budget and NUVA values

Occupational Skills and Knowledge
• Broad base of experience working across the nuclear and non-nuclear sectors
• Capable of operating within a dynamic commercial environment
• Experience of managing staff,
• Experience of tender production/ management
• Experience of strategy development and implementation
