Operations Director

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and a strong background in Environmental Health? We're looking for an Operations Director to lead our service delivery teams and shape the future of our customer experience.

In this high-impact role, you'll oversee the delivery of our Audit, Fire, Customer Service, Scheduling, and Operations functions-ensuring they run efficiently, consistently, and to the highest standards. You'll also bring your Environmental Health expertise to the forefront, guiding our EH strategy and ensuring compliance, innovation, and best practice across the board.
What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver services on time, in full, and with excellence.
• Drive operational strategy aligned with business goals and customer expectations.
• Champion quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across all service areas.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Use data and feedback to inform decisions and drive innovation.
• Represent service delivery at senior leadership level, reporting on KPIs and performance.
• Investigate and resolve service issues, embedding long-term solutions.
• Lead the Environmental Health function, ensuring compliance, innovation, and team development.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Environmental Health (BSc or MSc).
• Proven experience leading Environmental Health functions, ideally within a service-led or compliance-driven environment.
• Strategic thinking with a track record of delivering operational improvements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience building high-performing teams.
• A customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Confidence using data to drive decisions and improve performance.
• Experience managing change and scaling operations.
• Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
