Two exciting opportunity have arisen in the Acute Medicine and Urgent Care Teams to join a well-established Directorate Operational Management Team in the delivery of performance standards and day to day services.
We welcome applicants who are highly motivated, understand the current challenges for operations within the NHS and have the ability to build strong working relationships in order to influence and change practice.
Each role involves working closely with the operational teams to lead and support on a diverse range of operational plans, assisting with data collection/analysis and contributing to operational service delivery with an adaptable and innovative approach Directorate -wide. Experience of job planning, improving productivity and associated IT systems would be desirable.
Hours per week: 37.5
We are recruiting to 2 posts
Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the specialties in facilitating achievement of key performance standards.
- To support in achievement, planning and monitoring of 18 week RTT pathways and targets.
- Support in monitoring cancer pathways of care by attending all specialty cancer team meetings to track and monitor pathways against the standards and targets, ensuring suspected cancer referrals and urgent referral patients are treated within the timescales and subsequent milestones are met.
- Participate in weekly monitoring of surgical capacity and demand, ensuring theatre sessions for the specialties are booked to capacity
- Participate in the operational management of surgical bed capacity, ensuring as far as possible that day case and surgical bed availability is maximised.
- Support the operational teams with developing SBAR's, Business Cases and Capital bids as required.
- To support the operational teams and General Manager in ensuring that Governance Performance and Standards are integrated into the specialties, including service delivery, HR, performance management, business planning and development of future strategy.
- To support the operational teams with specialty and trust wide projects, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
- Support the operational teams with budget and financial management ensuring appropriate use of resources.
