Operational Resilience Manager
Aon are looking to recruit an Operational Resilience Manager to join our team in London. This will be a hybrid position with the flexibility to work both from the office and your home.
This role will be Managing the Aon UK (AUK) Operational Resilience Programme in accordance with AUK's internal policies and procedures and those of its regulator. Developing, coordinating, undertaking and supporting additional first line governance activities in accordance with the requirements of Aon's own internal policies and procedures and those of its regulators

What the day will look like
- Primary responsibility for the Operational Resilience framework including implementation of the framework and monitoring output
- Liaison with and reporting to key stakeholders including supplier management, business continuity management, IT and senior leadership/R&CC/Board as needed
- Establishing and agreeing appropriate tolerances with senior leadership
- Monitoring overall adherence to the tolerances set by the organisation for Operational Resilience and service delivery, taking appropriate action to rectify issues and to report on any significant departure from the set tolerances
- Working with relevant stakeholders such as COOs, ERM committees etc on planning exercises, including simulation and contingency planning, engaging with existing incident response teams in the UK and globally, including GEOC, Business & Technology Resilience Governance, Global Security Services
- Chairing, setting the framework and managing the Terms of Reference for the Operational Resilience Governance Forum
- Coordinating and allocating responsibilities to Operational Resilience champions and oversight of the information returned by them
- Carry out risk assessments and leading decision making on controls
- Monitoring ongoing compliance with the framework as well as the policies set by the organisation
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior management and to other colleagues
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Knowledge of FCA Operational Resilience expectations and PS21/3
- Commercial understanding of business and the insurance/health/wealth market
- Experience of a working in a risk and control environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentations
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel, including pivot tables and charts. Additional data analytical and visualisation skills would be an advantage.
- Time management and organisational skills
- Proactive self-starter, with good attention to detail
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to operate in a matrix management environment
- Commitment to and active involvement in raising standards and professionalism
Experience Required
- Working knowledge of broad FCA regulation ideally relating to a broking environment, with a track record of successful application of that knowledge
- Ability to navigate a diverse business environment and influence key stakeholders
- Track record of team-work - able to work with and influence others and where appropriate motivate and inspire others to achieve success
- Software supplier relationship management would be an advantage.
