Operational Procurement Manager

• Manage the scheduling process
o Develop the detailed schedule for their area of responsibility in compliance with the Master Production Schedule and any independent demand requirements
o Carry out detailed capacity planning taking care to monitor all critical resources and propose mitigation plans to line managers for validation
o Implement action plans to reduce hazards and uncertainties in order to maintain the desired service level within their scope of activities.
o Develop the inventory forecast for the short and middle term to estimate stock on references
o Manage the Detailed Schedule Planning and the Material requirements planning validation
o In cases of overload, adapt the schedule to the load/capacity balance, and suggest actions to improve flexibility within the Supply Chain to absorb occasional overloads
o Attend the weekly MPS meeting: measure and analyse performance, analyse the impacts, and reschedule if necessary
Establish detailed schedules for the supply chain
Ensure that schedules are produced/supplied as planned and are adjusted according to the risks of the external environment
Coordinate the external supply, following the calculation of material requirements, and develop action plans to mitigate risks ( OTD, financial, ...)
Is accountable for the coordination on critical parts with external/internal scheduling teams
Meets with the supplier to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback or to discuss forecasts or changes
Review and confirm any supplier risk on sub-tier suppliers
Ensure that deadlines are upheld to honour the customer commitment
Is accountable for the accuracy of the dynamic data
Is accountable for the Schedule adherence and OTD performance
Is accountable for the management and reliability of inventories and determines how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimise customer service
Contribute to lean and improvement projects:
Lead relevant supply chain projects within the scope of activity
Ensure that changes introduced are replicated within the processes and ERP system to ensure the effectiveness of planning parameters
Participate to;
Business Unit Governance Meetings
Rate Readiness and resource investment studies
Stock Takes, Audits & Assessments, analyses the impacts on the proposed stock policy
In External Supply reviews and supports the Supplier Performance Management team and Supplier Development teams in discussions with suppliers
In Part availability analysis with detection of short and middle term risks
The management and co-ordination of engineering changes
Measures and analyses performance in coordination with the Business Unit using the defined MRP2 metrics and provides the required aily/weekly/monthly reports
Analyses the root cause of metrics not at target level (MPS, OTD, etc.) and works with the Assembly lines to develop the necessary action/recovery plans

Candidate skills & requirements
Supply chain experience
Detailed vision of production processes and their company's supply chain
Apics CPIM or working towards
Proficiency in the MRP2 process
Knowledge of business economics
