Job summary

Join us on our journey to become the best Maternity and Neonatal Service in the Country. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our senior management operational team. In the role of Operations Manager you will support the General Manager and Service Manager to deliver the core operational functions of the service. This will include attending daily operational huddles.

Main duties of the job

Support the General Managers, Service Managers and Heads of Service to effectively manage the administrative function for the CMG encompassing the management of all resources and the monitoring and achievement of agreed performance objectives within the context of National and Trust frameworks.

Support to the management teams to monitor continuous service and efficiency improvements to enhance patient care services provided by Maternity and Neonates.

To support the admin management teams to deliver activity and other service performance in a way that complies with national, regional or local standards and targets.

To deputise for the Service Manager and General Manager as and when required.

  • Work closely with senior clinical and non-clinical colleagues specifically within the CMG and other linked specialties.
  • Work with colleagues within the corporate CMGs (e.g. Human Resources, Finance, Clinical and Corporate Governance, Facilities) as necessary
  • Work with external bodies, such as other Network providers. GP practices, community teams.
  • To work closely with the Junior Doctors Administrators and the Trust Bank office team
  • Support the General Managers, Service Managers and Heads of Service to effectively manage the administrative function for the CMG encompassing the management of all resources and the monitoring and achievement of agreed performance objectives within the context of National and Trust frameworks.
  • In conjunction with Heads of Service and in support of the Service Managers and General Managers consider, plan and implement change to ensure continuous service and efficiency improvements to enhance the patient care services provided by Maternity and Neonates.
