This is a great opportunity to join Library and Learning Services at Aston University at an exciting time as we work towards supporting the delivery of a successful REF 2029 submission and delivering our Aston 2030 Strategy.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and develop the library's support for open research at Aston. A key focus of the role will be leading on open access compliance for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) whilst managing Aston's research repositories and providing a scholarly publishing enquiry and advocacy service to maximise the visibility and impact of Aston research

You will be responsible for building capability and capacity within the library and leading and developing the Library's Open Research team. There will be scope to deliver new services in response to the environmental changes and the digital transformation ambitions of the University. The role will have high visibility and influence within the University's research ecosystem, as well as contributing to the wider strategic development of Library & Information Services, as a member of the library's leadership team.

We are looking for a leader who has an understanding of the HE research landscape and can develop and deliver transformative services. If you have the ability to work strategically whilst delivering operationally, to lead and generate enthusiasm in others, and work collaboratively, please join us to lead Aston's open research activity as we deliver our Aston 2030 strategy.
