As the Online Trading Manager - Ecommerce Content & Campaigns, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimisation of trade-related content across Tesco's grocery homepage, trade events, and value propositions across the Tesco digital estate.
You'll champion the use of new capabilities within your team, ensuring the team effectively utilises tools like CMS features and works closely with the Online Trading Tools Manager and the Online Trade Planning team to test new personalised trade capabilities. You'll also define differentiated strategies for the GHP and App homepage, recognising their distinct roles in fulfilling customer missions.
You'll work cross-functionally with Customer, Creative, UX, Digital Marketing, and Propositional teams to ensure content is inspirational, relevant, and strategically aligned. You'll also apply project management principles, including stakeholder mapping and end-to-end customer journey mapping, to ensure seamless coordination and engagement across all touchpoints. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of online trading at Tesco, bringing energy, innovation, and leadership to a fast-paced, evolving digital environment.

You will be responsible for
• Lead the coordination, execution, and real-time optimisation of trade-related content across Tesco's grocery homepage, trade events, and value propositions, working collaboratively to create content that inspires and balances quality, value, and relevance.
• Collaborate with propositional teams to ensure best-in-class execution of content that aligns with strategic priorities and customer needs.
• Influence cross-functional teams, including Digital Marketing, to ensure campaigns are fully integrated across all touchpoints and deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
• Partner with the Retail Media team to identify and maximise monetisation opportunities within trade events.
• Use analytics, SEO reporting, and accessibility best practice to inform content planning and continuous improvement through in-flight adjustments to drive conversion rate.
• Collaborate with the digital analytics team to evolve how content effectiveness is measured, considering recent tech changes and visit impacts.
• Support the rollout of self-serve analytics and support the Lead Online Trading Manager to develop a 1-2 year plan for team capability and tooling to deliver personalised content goals.
• Own and manage the online trade content plan, ensuring alignment with seasonal, brand, and proposition priorities.
• Map and manage the customer journey across all digital touchpoints, including digital marketing and comms channels, ensuring consistency and relevancy throughout.
• Use emerging segmentation and personalisation capability to test and learn and develop effective usage in key moments and aid content discovery and customer loyalty.
• Partner with stakeholders across Customer, Marketing, Trade, and Propositional teams to align on shared objectives and manage expectations.
• Lead the evolution of tesco groceries homepage planning to balance portfolio priorities and leverage new tech functionality.
You will need
• Proficient in using website analytics tools like Adobe Analytic or other comparative reporting software
• SEO best practice understanding
• CMS platform familiarity and usage
• Project management tools (e.g., Jira, Adobe Workfront)
• Experience in people management and coaching
• In depth understanding of eCommerce and online trading.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret data and generate insight
