We are on the lookout for talented individuals eager to transition into the Energy sector and take on the role of Chef Manager. Successful candidates will begin as Chef Managers in Training, participating in a 12-month program designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage service delivery on offshore installations.
Job Overview:
As an Offshore Chef Manager in Training, you will participate in an extensive training program aimed at preparing you for a management position in offshore catering and support services operations. In this role, you will gain practical experience, enhance your culinary and leadership abilities, and ensure a safe and high-quality experience for personnel working offshore.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with experienced Chef Managers to learn the daily management of service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Follow Compass Group and client policies and procedures, with a constant emphasis on safety.
Essential Qualifications and Certifications: To be eligible to work offshore, you must hold or be willing to obtain the following certifications (Compass Group will provide support with training where required):
• BOSIET/FOET Certification (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training/Further Offshore Emergency Training)
• MIST Certification (Minimum Industry Safety Training)
• Offshore Medical Certificate & Food Handlers Certificate (OGUK)
What We're Seeking:
• Relevant experience as a chef, ideally in a high-volume setting
• A strong commitment to enhancing both management and culinary skills
• A solid understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
• The ability to adapt and remain resilient in offshore environments
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Training and Development: Successful candidates will participate in a structured training program over the course of 12 months, which will include the individual attending workshops during onshore leave periods.
