With 34 full-time staff now working from the Nexus Mods office in Exeter, we're on the lookout for someone who can help us with the day-to-day running of our office space, looking after all of us and our beloved workplace.

We work a 4-day, 32-hour work week from Monday to Thursday and this is a full-time office-based position.

The Company

NexusMods.com is the largest video game modding site on the internet. The site is used by over 15 million users each month to find and download modifications for over 3,000 games, old and new.

Established in 2001, Nexus Mods currently employs 34 full-time staff, 30 of which work from our office building in Southernhay, Exeter.

The Role

It will be your job to ensure the office building itself is in top shape and to coordinate with any maintenance contractors to ensure swift repairs to any part of the building that needs it. You'll need to ensure all Health and Safety policies are followed as well as liaising with the rest of the Nexus Mods staff to ensure their needs are met, especially around the much-loved snacks and stocking of the fridge and kitchen cupboards!

We are open to hiring people without any prior office management experience and welcome anyone who has a love for gaming with strong social and organisational skills and the ability to be versatile from day to day. Any training necessary will be provided to you after you start.

Please bear in mind that you will require a reasonable level of fitness to do this job as it requires moving and lifting items that can be heavy.

Salary

£25,000 - £26,500 a year, depending on your experience level.

We will pay reasonable relocation expenses if you need to move locations to take this position.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping the office space well-stocked and organised.
  • Ensuring the office building and workspace is maintained to a high standard, and managing any contractors who come in to work on the office premise.
  • Inventory tracking.
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date and followed.
  • Developing and implementing new administrative systems and processes for the management of the office.
  • Arranging regular testing for electrical equipment and safety devices.
  • Liaising with staff and suppliers including paying invoices.
  • Attending and organising training.
  • Providing support to the Executive Assistant to Directors with organising socials where necessary.

Requirements

  • This is a full-time office-based position. You need a right to work in the UK and a willingness to relocate to Exeter as soon as possible.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience using spreadsheets.
  • A reasonable level of fitness. You will need to be able to carry multiple heavy items a day up sets of stairs.
  • Confidence in talking to people over the phone.
  • Great organisation skills.
  • Highly autonomous.
  • A great social demeanour.
  • Experience and a love for playing video games is a great bonus.
