Person specification

Essential

Essential criteria

• Degree in relevant discipline/ or demonstration of relevant transferrable knowledge and experience
• Knowledge and experience of designing and facilitating service improvement projects/events to identify opportunities for redesign and sustainable improvement
• Knowledge of RAID Management and Project/Programme delivery methodologies
• Experience of managing projects (capital or non-capital) and/or sub-projects/ workstreams within larger programmes
• Experience of delivering operational and policy related projects within a healthcare or construction environment
• Experience in driving change management processes and projects, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and ensuring successful mapping, development and implementation of TOMs across functional areas

Desirable criteria

• Project / Programme Management Qualification such as Prince 2, APM PMQ, MSP or equivalent experience
• NEC and/or other construction contract knowledge and awareness
• Knowledge and an understanding of technical design processes and technical drawings
• Experience of working within/involved in the delivery of capital and service transformation projects in a healthcare environment
• Experience and knowledge of design processes and good hospital design principles
• Experience of managing external Consultants and associated contracts

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
