About The Role

Bracken House - Senior Night Care Assistant

Nexxus Care are recruiting for a senior care assistant for one of our residential homes in Bracken House. Shift pattern will be 10pm - 8am.

About You

Qualities were looking for:

  • Experience of working within a residential home or care setting is required
  • Good communicator
  • Good record keeping skills - documenting information in accordance to guidelines
  • Focused
  • Ability to work well within team
  • Good communicator both orally and electronically.

What we need from you:

  • Work as part of a team and support senior colleagues and the home manager to deliver care and support service outcomes, developing and managing care and support plans, actively engaging with service users to promote independence and choice, supporting service users in making decisions about their life.
  • Support with the team and monitoring of administration of medication as detailed in the service user's care plan and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Work flexibly, providing care and support to service users in aspects of their daily living.
  • Act as the service users champion in a nominated area of responsibility.
  • Promote independence
  • Take appropriate action on any complaints, safeguarding issues, accidents and incidents in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Complete relevant in house training in accordance with job description
  • Completion of satisfactory DBS checks
