As a Network Planning Manager you will lead our Planning teams to deliver exceptional operational services across the UK and European Network. This pivotal role involves strategic leadership, ensuring health & safety, employee engagement, compliance, and development within the Planning team. You will be responsible for operational, commercial, and IT solutions, playing a key role in achieving both customer and DHL budgets.

  • Manage the Planning teams providing an operational service for the UK and European Network.
  • Responsibility for the delivery of service and operational excellence to the UK Network and European Network business.
  • Deliver contractual savings initiatives to enable improved cost efficiency for the customer and further enable gainshare opportunities for DHL.
  • Accountable for the achievement of contractual KPIs & ensure partners & hauliers are managed to agreed SLA's.
  • Partner with customer teams from operations, BVS, LCC, and customs to enhance performance and drive change and oversee the DHL Closed Book Budget, driving savings initiatives to maximize gainshare opportunities.
  • Manage the customer relationship, alongside carrier management, compliance and employee development.

  • Experience in Supply Chain division, ideally with a retail customer.
  • Previous experience in logistic transport operations, EU and UK, International or European experience desirable.
  • Capability of planning, defining, and deploying strategic plans, with an analytical and strategic mindset.
  • Strong people and customer stakeholder management skills, with the ability to commute at all levels.
  • Proactive to find solutions to complex scenarios.
  • Transport network planning experience would be advantageous.
