This role is responsible for leading all B2B Hubs sales for the function. This role is responsible for ensuring we have a highly talented and motivated team of Business Centre managers and sales colleagues, responsible for both acquiring both new B2B customers and growing existing accounts within a defined geographical area.

The National Hubs manager will drive the ideal operating model across the Hubs channel, ensuring the different locations are working collaboratively, and that we are maximising both sales and margin as a result. It is critical that this leader is continuously driving standards to improve underlying metrics of conversion, repeat spend and basket profitability, supported by the wider B2B organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implement effective sales strategies for the B2B Hubs, managing and overseeing the daily operations of the B2B Hubs nationwide.
  • Working closely with the retail management structure to maximise performance in each location, driving standards, reducing administrative workload, and enabling our Hub colleagues to drive new business and grow repeat sales in their local catchment.
  • Delivery of sales and margin KPIs and targets, with a specific focus on conversion and account repeat spend. Developing the SMB business within the Business Hubs local market and ensuring delivery of local GTM plans for acquiring new customers.
  • Identifying and execution of areas of Business growth within the business Hubs and wider retail portfolio
  • Ensuring standards and ways of working in the Business Hubs are defined, consistent and maintained in coordination with other areas of the Currys network.
  • Collaborating with other business units in B2B and Retail to ensure that the right proposition is delivered in the business Hubs and that the business customers are given the appropriate solution.
  • Coaching and supporting the Business Hubs through two Regional Support Managersand identifying areas of growth opportunity and developing continuous improvement plans and ensuring best practice sharing within the business environment.
  • Ensuring that the operating model is delivered in Business Hubs and setting clear KPIs for performance and identifying opportunities for improved performance.
  • Succession and development planning to ensure that the right supporting factors of upskilling, career pathways and development paths are set up for all Hub sales colleagues, driving motivation to perform and develop.
  • Maintain strong morale and low attrition across the team.
  • Manage costs efficiently, role modelling best practice in finding new ways of working that reduce non value added task, and minimise unnecessary cost.

Key Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced retail environment.
  • Ideally experience of working within a retail environment (electronics preferred but other similar environment will be relevant to the role)
  • Experience of managing large frontline teams.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation, with heavy dependency on other teams to help maximise success in your area of responsibility.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ideally educated to degree standard
