Deloitte's Tax Technology Consulting ("TTC") team have a market leading reputation in London and across Europe, with the largest of the Big 4 tax in both process and technology departments.

Within TTC the Finance Operate team are part of a global Business Process Solutions network with the largest global footprint. We are looking for a finance specialist with a strong background in accounting and finance function to join our team of professionals dedicated to improving and transforming our clients' business processes.

Use your international finance experience to advise, implement and run client finance solutions for both prospective and existing clients. This is a market facing role that requires innovative thinking and international stakeholder collaboration with focused outcomes.

This exciting role will involve the following:

  • Collating client information to support the preparation of accounts (management and statutory financial statements) including supporting client audit requests
  • Reviewing work prepared by the teams in our delivery centres
  • Supporting GAAP technical discussions with client stakeholders and consulting
  • Establish/ensure the optimal team structure, processes and procedures to achieve objectives in delivery of finance operate projects
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding contractual commitments and client expectations
  • Communicate metrics to relevant stakeholders to highlight issues, identify root causes, and solve in conjunction with other process owners
  • Ensure adoption of best practices and continuous improvement
  • Adopt quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures in delivery of finance operate projects
  • Manage people from multiple teams (and geographies) including recruitment, training, workload, coaching and development
  • Manage team in day-to-day responsibilities, issue escalations as well as career development and performance feedback processes
  • Successfully business partner with clients across multiple locations and time zones
  • Focus on automation and provide input to streamline processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Take an active role as a business leader within the team and support the overall objectives of the business

You're a natural at building relationships with clients, are a trusted advisor and can build an understanding of how different types of businesses and structures operate. Joining the TTC practice will give you access to senior leadership across the myriad of industries and markets within the UK, across our North-West Europe region and globally. This would be a perfect opportunity for a specialist in accounting with an interest in the wider TTC areas.

Essentials:

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment
  • Experience of delivering financial reporting services to entities located in the UK and overseas under IFRS, FRS 101/102 or US GAAP
  • Experience in a management role that includes exposure to finance, accounting, billing, treasury, internal controls, process improvement and project management
  • Proven competency to lead successful teams in a hybrid work environment
  • Experience with change management
  • Willingness to learn new automation tools and have updated knowledge of upcoming technology and industry trends
  • Solid and effective working knowledge of SLA and KPIs reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines for deliverables and presentation of results
  • Strong Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills required for presentations and reporting

Desirable:

  • Workiva WDESK, Thomsen Reuters finance compliance tools, MS Navision, SAP, Oracle experience
  • Global multinational experience
  • Project Management certification

Personal independence
