Location: Hybrid - 2 days work from office in Wembley Park, 3 days WFH/National Travel

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (35hrs per week)

Overall Job Purpose

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic National Account Manager (e-commerce) to be a part of our exceptional team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for managing the sales strategies for renowned online platforms such as Amazon and Argos, as well as driving sales through our direct-to-consumer (D2C) Ecommerce platform.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of Amazon, having gained at least 2+ years of valuable experience. You must be fluent in the language of Amazon, familiar with their operational processes, metrics, and industry best practices. In addition, you should possess strong business acumen, having successfully managed relationships with significant High Street retailers or Grocers recently. You should also be adept at effectively measuring, reporting, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital sales through our D2C Ecommerce platform.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the Amazon business, diving in with a hands-on management of every aspect of the account. From setting up new products to optimising listings and search results, to managing chargeback claims and creating sales forecasts - all with the goal of driving maximum sell in/sell out.
  • Be the Amazon expert, analysing current performance metrics and coming up with innovative ideas to grow our market share.
  • Stay on top of IDQ reports, consumer reviews, page rankings and content on Amazon - constantly seeking ways to improve and enhance our presence.
  • Directly manage Argos; crafting strategic plans to boost sell in/sell out and providing monthly progress reports to ensure success.
  • Analyse stock and sales, forecast customer purchase/demand planning and deliver regular recommendations to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Uncover and secure profitable new business opportunities that align with our goals.
  • Act as a category leader for our customers, utilising market data to influence and inspire them to embrace optimal range proposals and intake plans.
  • Keep a close eye on account status & market performance, providing timely and informative reports to stakeholders. Set clear & measurable objectives for each account and monitor performance to ensure goals are met.
  • Drive profitability by carefully evaluating account investment spend and creating targeted proposals for increasing share, volume & profitability.
  • Analyse our existing D2C ecommerce performance & develop a strategic roadmap for enhancing our digital presence closely collaborating with the internal marketing team to ensure timely & compelling digital content is created for all customers.
  • Manage the Divisions digital asset library including designing and implementing effective promo plans for our D2C ecommerce platforms.
  • Support the digital strategy by staying in the know with the most cutting-edge digital & ecommerce trends, putting your expertise to work by sharing insights and best practices with the wider sales team & retail partners.
  • Transforming data insights into actionable proposals and implementing strategies using digital tools like Google Analytics and Vendor Central.
  • Setting, measuring, reporting, and achieving Digital Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the Ecommerce platform.
  • Serve as a vital link between the sales team and the ecomm/marketing teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Own the strategy for promo and voucher codes in our D2C Ecommerce, tracking usage and proposing future initiatives.

People Specification

  • ESSENTIAL: Minimum 3 years' experience in Account Management of which a minimum 2 years' experience specifically with Amazon. Able to demonstrate proven success including; AMS marketing, improving sales performance and operational effectiveness.
  • ESSENTIAL: Full, clean driving licence for the UK with flexibility to travel as required.
  • Excellent demonstrable ability in analysing data and providing insight reports from Vendor Central and other sources such as PowerBI, GA/GA4 or similar software.
  • Confident in providing recommendations for website optimisation and customer journey improvements.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strong negotiation & persuasion skills to drive target achievement.
  • Competent with Office365 with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sales analysis reporting. Good PowerPoint skills in order to present monthly reports.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with ability to manage tasks of shifting priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Capable of building effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • DESIRABLE: recent experience of account managing at least one national high street retailer or grocer.
  • DESIRABLE: previous experience with software such as Google Business Tools, Google Looker Studio, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Web Trends, WordPress, HubSpot or Salesforce will be highly advantageous.
  • DESIRABLE: Background in digital ecommerce sales, particularly in D2C ecommerce.
