Person specification
Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level in relevant vocation
- Project Management Qualification
- Evidence of continuous personal professional development.
Desirable criteria
- PRINCE 2 / Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience within a management role within a customer focused organisation
- Substantial experience of successfully managing complex projects within a programme management system including evidence of change management within timeframes and in budget.
- Extensive experience of working in a multi-agency partnership
- Experience of writing concise and effective reports and project documentation
- Experienced team leader
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within an NHS environment
- An understanding of national and local NHS policy.
- Experience working with community or voluntary groups
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of running a range of projects in a complex changing people focused organisation from design stage until completion
- Experience of engaging with multi-disciplinary teams in achieving successful outcomes.
- Knowledge and experience of governance and assurance in an NHS setting either directly or by working in partnership with the NHS.
- Evidence of using negotiating and influencing skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with professional groups and senior managers within the organisation and in other agencies.
- Team building and management skills
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge and experience of implementing major changes to working methods and evaluating its effectiveness.
