What you'll be doing:

To deliver great results, achieving targets and KPI's set by both Compass and the Brand.
Be fully responsible for the overall operational performance of the store, role modelling best practice and ensuring all team members create a great customer experience in a safe environment.

More about the role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking overall responsibility for the store, complying with all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, by completing and checking compliance, due diligence and any legal paperwork required.
  • Deliver Compass budgets, taking full accountabilities for all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, sales, stock, labour, overheads, Gross Profit and sundries
  • Recruit and develop a highly diverse and inclusive team, carrying out regular 1:1's and Performance Reviews bi-annually, while creating succession plans to retain colleagues to Compass.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are in place and delivered by the team whilst maintaining cash and stock security and delivering Brand Targets and Critical KPI's
  • Comply with Corporate Social Responsibilities in line with Environmental Impact ensuring effective waste management while delivering our social mobility commitments.
  • Effective use of Ourtime (Labour tool), adjusting forecast accordingly to create efficient schedules ensuring right people at right time to maximise sales opportunity and managing the absence process in the system.
  • Role model leadership behaviours and Brand Standards always creating a positive working environment, using great communication to ensure all information is shared with relevant members of the team when implementing new initiatives to drive engagement with the team.
  • Complete own training and ensure all team are fully trained to Company Standards and complete refreshers as required - both Compass E-Learning and Brand Training Plans
  • Dealing with customer and client complaints in a professional manner, in line with company policy and procedure

Who you are:

Essential

  • Demonstrate passion and the ability to role model and coach all Leadership behaviours confidently
  • Reliable and committed and able to work a minimum of one weekend a month and a mixture of early and late shifts, with the ability to change at short notice if required and flexible to the needs of the Business.
  • Achievement oriented, with the strong IT skills and the ability to analyse data, interpret, and then take action and ownership for results.
  • Effectively communicate and delegate throughout the team and coach with an inclusive style while creating a positive working environment for the team and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Eager to learn, taking control of own development and the development of Assistant Manager and Supervisors ensuring succession plans are in place for the store.
  • Ability to use initiative build strong relationships with client and team and manage difficult situations effectively while remaining positive

Desirable

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Retail environment
