In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

Reporting to the Vice-President, MRO Strategy & Operation, the MRO/Repairs Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of the MRO sales forecast, in alignment with the business forecasting rhythms, through the management of all activities related to MRO, in line with applicable Quality Processes & Procedures, and with the aim to systematically maintain customer satisfaction.

The MRO Manager will also significantly contribute to the overall MRO strategy for the Customer Support and Services (Aftermarket) global organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Acting as a central liaison point on all MRO (Part 145) activities
• Ensure the MRO organisation maintains full compliance at all times to all regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the Safran Seats MRO strategy & Customer Support and Services vision
• Lead the MRO team to support the continuous development of the MRO organization in line with the Customer Support and Services vision
• Support the business to create business development opportunities to support customers and order intake
• Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all of the operational performance metrics that meets the customer's needs
• Manage effectively all actions to improve performance to targeted levels and continuously improve our service level to customers
• Continuously lead and develop our employees to suit the business needs and deliver the customers' requirements
• Create a culture of ownership, openness, accountability and flexibility
• Seek ways to continuously improve the department whilst demonstrating adherence to processes and procedures
• Ensure cross functional training is cascaded throughout the department
• Ensure effective governance is maintained as a robust and structured process e.g. QRQC, 5S, FOD mitigation
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction, and as may be required, maintain excellent customer relationships in this customer-facing management role

Candidate skills & requirements

- Demonstrable experience of leading and development of people & teams.
- 5 Years relevant work experience with at least 2 years of operating in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position
- Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems
- Knowledge of Human Factors
- Knowledge of Maintenance methods
- Knowledge of Compliance Monitoring (Auditing) techniques
- Familiarity with Aerospace seat manufacture and repair
- Experience of an ERP system
- Demonstrable experience of QRQC/SQCDP methodologies.
