The Job

Our Senior Sous Chef strives to deliver the superior level of guest service that we are known for. They are hardworking, dedicated, and uphold exceptional culinary standards. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to plan and execute menu items, ensuring superior consistency and quality.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to the highest culinary standards.
  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Assist in menu development, incorporating current culinary trends and guest preferences.
  • Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources, maximizing profitability.
  • Participate actively in the hiring and onboarding of kitchen staff, fostering a cohesive and skilled team.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment within the kitchen team.
  • Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures for all food products.
  • Act as a liaison between kitchen staff and management, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Handle any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a high-end restaurant environment, with a proven track record as a Sous Chef or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary trends.
  • Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Valid UK Visa/Work Permit to work in London.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and time management skills.
  • Located in London.
  • Great team leader with the ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
