Mortgage Processing Manager

Mortgage Processing Manager, you will manage, develop and coach a team of Mortgage processors to deliver an outstanding service to new and existing customers; enhancing people development and process improvement.

As well as managing the team, you will also assess new applications against underwriting criteria, following appropriate policies and procedures and ensuring that pipelines are appropriately managed and progressed.

As a Mortgage Processing Manager, we are looking for someone to:

  • Manage a team to provisionally underwrite and package new applications received, providing an initial case assessment and requesting any additional information required to progress to underwriting
  • Proactively manage a pipeline of cases, ensuring that information is proactively requested from customers and third parties
  • Provide customers and other stakeholders with updates and ensure required information is requested within service levels
  • Liaise effectively with other areas of the business e.g. Legal, underwriting, customer service etc. to ensure the smooth processing of each case
  • Driving and managing performance through coaching and support in order to meet individual and team targets

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience of managing and leading a team
  • Customer Service experience
  • Mortgage processing/administrative experience
  • Ability to assess and interpret information supplied e.g. bank statements
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
