MOD Area Sales Manager
We are looking to recruit a Modernisation Sales Manager to join our Team based in Warrington and look after a designated area/region. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth of EI (Existing Installations) through volume sales of modernisation; transformations and full replacements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maximise both modernisation and full replacement sales through prospecting EI portfolio, new business, dealing with repeat customers and general enquiries into the business
- Meet/exceed company sales targets
- Presentations to clients as required
- Work with Project Technicians and the Modernisation Design Centre to produce tenders for projects in line with customer requirements
- Follow up quotations, negotiate and convert into orders
- Negotiate Schindler standard terms and conditions as required
- Produce business development plans for assigned area and report on forecasting of expected business
- Liaise with other sales and technical teams to help develop the regional and company result.
- Undertake detailed technical lift surveys both for traditional modernisation and full replacement
- Support wider MOD team.
- Liaise with Schindler service departments to ensure protection and growth of service portfolio and drive a capital planning approach
- Demonstrate 'Customer Centric' behaviours at all times
- Convey Schindler commitment to quality both in customer service and products provided
- All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and Schindler Core Values to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group Safety requirements
- Employees are required to attend all relevant Training Sessions.
- Employees are required to carry out all works in accordance with the Company's Quality Corporate Policy
- Employees will be required to contribute to the Company's Safety Objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its Safety Management System
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in Customer facing Sales and identifying new business & developing relationships
- Lift Industry experience, whilst not essential would be advantage
- Excellent Communication Skills, both spoken and written in a manner that is clear, fluent and succinct, both in group-and-one to one settings
- Skilled Negotiater with others in a way that results in a win-win situation
- Constantly strives to exceed performance targets and improve on previous performance
- Demonstrates responsive, sustained effort, overcome obstacles and challenges
- Sets demanding but realistic goals for team and self
- Works effectively under pressure
- Strong business acumen, understands and applies commercial and financial principles to improve business performance both now and in the future
