Mobile Kitchen Manager - Barnstaple
- Location: Barnstaple and surrounding areas (Mid & North Devon).
- Salary: £27,955.20 pro rata (£13.44 per hour)
- Hours per week: 27.5
- Shift Patterns: Available between the hours of 07:30 and 15:00, Monday to Friday, term time only
South West Norse is established in delivering catering, cleaning, and facilities management services to a portfolio of clients in the local region in partnership with Devon County Council, combining local knowledge with service delivery expertise.
As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Mobile Kitchen Manager lead our teams across Barnstaple and surrounding areas on a permanent, part-time basis.
Our commercial catering teams utilise local and fresh produce to supply a growing number of schools and businesses a diverse and healthy menu, and we are currently. Our Mobile Kitchen Manager is a key role in providing cover and support to our on-site teams, both in times of absence and when additional service is required. The role will offer you diversity to lead and manage a number of kitchens across the area, producing a variety of meals in line with the defined menus at each site. Your input into new ideas for menus will be valuable, and you will have the chance to be creative and bring new recipes.
Our kitchen support teams will benefit from your experience and guidance, as you will lead food preparation, cooking and service delivery.
Our Successful Candidate:
We are looking for you to display experience leading a busy kitchen environment, capable of organising catering staff as well as being hands-on with meal preparation and cooking. Alongside this, we want you to demonstrate a passion for cooking, demonstrated through proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment and professional kitchen / cooking qualifications.
Your ability to work effectively as part of a team will be crucial to the role, alongside being able to build relationships with on-site teams and clients quickly. This will be highlighted by excellent communication and engagement skills
As this is a mobile position, you will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle to travel to our sites.
